we were our own company. we did everything in house. it was like a family. philip morris didnt buy usstc. phillip morris was bought out a long time about by a huge company, altria, which owns many other companys. conwood is OWNED directly by rj reynolds,camel and what not. there is zero association between usstc and marlboro.
its lame cause the new company has so many restrictions against marketing tobacco and they cut the marketing division. there is no connection to philip morris except they stopped making snus.

usstc was far from unethical. if you look up the deal they worked out with the govt in 1998 and how many millions they had to donate to a stupid anti tobacco campaign.



WRONG!!!!! just because you "did everything in house" does not make you you're own company. having a finance, sales, marketing, payroll, manufacturing, etc. depts. does not make you "you're own company". UST was a PUBLICLY OWNED, HELD and TRADED company.

you're right, Phillip Morris did not buy UST, their parent company Altria bought them. Now Altria has given PM the run of the ship, who has shit canned all the UST reps. Phillip Morris is now out actively working UST products (their new bull-shit programs are not working by the way) There is 100% association between Marlboro and the UST brands. They might be manufactured in diffrent locations, but there is ONE Phillip Morris rep per wholesaler, that works both brands, one Phillip Morris account rep per chain account, that works both brands, and one territory manager, at store level, that (guess what) works both brands! I'd say that's about as close as you can get (that is until Phillip Morris decides to elimate the office jobs and swallow them up)

Additionally, Conwood is owned by Reynolds America, not RJ Reynolds, which is a sister compay. Conwood operates as a fully owned, subsidary of Reynolds America. RJ Reynolds does not control, run, manage, or market Conwood products.....at least not yet.

Notice he also said that he knows people that work for Conwood. Even if all he does is pass out samples, he's more qualified than you or I to answer such questions
