there are a few other posts on this topic but i cant seem to find the original one. the numbers are there so the machines that produce the cans and labels can keep track of where they came from. it has nothing to do with quality. the numbers range from 0-12

Well yes it does, Grizzly Company is in TN. Your First 3 numbers are ssat out on the end date that the company sets to ship. The Next Ones are so on and so forth. So say i get Can Number 1, A since i live in TN, Shipment processes to me the next day. My dip would be better than if i get a can thats sat to number 12.

I dont think its true, but I heard that its the amount of nicotine in the can. This sounds absurd to me.

Its not the amount of nicotine in the can. As they all contain around the same amount.

You guys come up with some funny shit. i have been told hundreds of times that it is the batch number. like for instance say there is 12 tubs full of grizzly wintergreen, and the can you bought was from tub 4. Well say you call the manufacture about a problem with your dip, well they will trace it back to tub 4, and figure out what the problem was. I mean, this sounds a lot more logical than what you guys keep saying because when you get a roll of grizzly they are not all the same numbers. the fact that there is different numbers in a single roll makes it impossible for MRG1 to be correct.

My buddies used to swear that it meant quality. Now they have all gotten over that. But its still fun to see who got a higher number!

you all are all way out of wack. especially this one

FYI: the number behind the UPC label, has nothing to do with anything.....absolutely nothing....at least not to the manufacturer. It likely does mean something to the company that makes the label for Conwood.

The numbers on the BOTTOM of the can is the who, what's, when and where.

Ok folks, I'm going to make this a sticky. The post right above this one should answer any questions about the "hidden" number on a Grizzly can.

And, fyi, the guy that made the post above (kyhunter) works for Conwood (they make Grizzly) so what he says is probably true. It has nothing to do with the quality of the dip, but is put there by the company that makes the actual labels for Conwood.
